Registration

Participants shall be issued a CFLC Membership Card.  This card is to be presented to the CFLC personnel each time the CFLC is used.  A replacement fee in the amount of $2.00 shall be charged for CFLC Membership Cards.  ALL participants are required to enter and exit through the main front doors and sign in and out at the Control Center.  

 

Non-Members (Non-Church Member)

A Non-Member is a person who 1) is not a member of the church or 2) does not commonly attend our regular church programs on Sunday or Wednesday.

 

Usage Fees (Subject to Change)

A usage fee for Non-Church Members shall be collected monthly or quarterly at the CFLC Control Desk.  These fees are:

Guest

Church Members may host a non-member guest up to two (2) times a year for no fee.  On the third and subsequent visits, guests shall pay a one-time usage fee for each day they use the CFLC.  Guests not hosted by a church member shall be required to pay a one-time usage fee in the amount of $5.00 for each day they use the CFLC.  Guests will not be allowed to use the cardiovascular or weight training areas.  Non-Church Members are not allowed to host guest.

 

A fee will not be required for children and teenagers who are involved in organized activities sponsored by the Activities Ministry.  Children and teenagers using the CFLC at times other than the organized activity who are non-members shall be required to pay the usage fee.  For clarification, non-member adults participating in leagues and activities shall be required to pay the usage fee.

 

Dress and Behavior

Appropriate clothing is to be worn at all time.  Men are required to wear shirts at all times.  Ladies are encouraged not to wear holster tops or sleeveless tops.  Any print or writing on clothing must be appropriate.  Foul language, unsportsmanlike conduct or disrespectful attitudes will not be tolerated at any time by anyone.

 

Lockers and Dressing Rooms

Combination locks for lockers may be checked out from the Control Center and may be used for daily use only.  No unassigned locker may remain locked overnight.  Participants should not leave items unsecured and/or unattended in a locker.  The CFLC is not responsible for the result of such negligence. 

 

Snack Area

All food and drinks should be kept in the snack area.  You are responsible for cleaning up after yourself.  All unattended drinks and food will be discarded.  The TV remote is kept at the Control Center and may only be used by the CFLC personnel.

 

Gymnasium

Programmed activities will be given priority over free play.  Only tennis/basketball shoes will be allowed on the gym floor while playing.  Shirts must be worn at all times.  Only balls checked out at the Control Center may be used.  Basketball and volleyballs should never be kicked.  Do NOT hang from goals.  Dunking basketballs on the lowered goals will not be tolerated.  No items should be thrown from the gym floor to the walking track.  No food, drinks or gum is allowed in the gym.  Gym equipment, goals, volleyball equipment, scoreboard, etc. will be set up and operated by qualified CFLC personnel only.

 

Walking Track

Children in the 6th Grade or below are not allowed on the track.  Thirteen and Fourteen year olds may use the track with adult supervision.  Fifteen year olds and above may use the track.  16 laps equal one mile.  Lap counter are available at the Control Center.  Sitting or leaning on the rail is prohibited.  Strollers and wheelchairs are not allowed on the track.  Athletic equipment is not allowed on the track.  Anyone shooting at the baskets from the track will be subject to dismissal from the facilities.  No racing is allowed.  Please follow the daily directional signs.  Food and drinks are not allowed on the track except for capped water containers.

 

Cardiovascular Area

All users must participate in a Cardiovascular Orientation Class prior to using the equipment.  Only fifteen year olds and above may use the equipment.  Misuse of equipment or horse playing on equipment will lead to severe restrictions.  Time on the equipment is limited to 30 minutes.  Food and drinks are not allowed in the Cardiovascular Area except for capped water containers.

 

Weight Room

All users must participate in a Weight Room Orientation Class prior to using the equipment.  Only fifteen year olds and above may use the equipment.  Younger children are not allowed in the weight room.  “Observers” are not allowed in the Weight Room.  Misuse of equipment or horse playing on equipment will lead to severe restrictions.  Shirts must be worn at all times.  Bike pants are recommended under loose fitting shorts.  You are required to have a towel to wipe off equipment after each use.   You may bring a towel from home or rent one at the Control Center for $0.25 per towel.  Food and drinks are not allowed in the weight room except for capped water containers.

 

Activities Ministry Sponsored Activity

An activity shall be considered an Activities Ministry Sponsored Activity if the activity meets the following guideline:

1)                  The Activity is organized and promoted by the Activities Ministry,

2)                  Registration is handled by the Activities Ministry, and

3)                  Any required fees shall be collected by the Activities Ministry.

Non-Members participating in activities not sponsored by the Activities Ministry shall be required to pay the usage fee.

 

Lost and Found

The Lost and Found Box is located at the Control Center.  Lost items will be returned to the owner when requested and properly identified.  Items will be kept only two weeks before being given to a charity group.  Participants are encouraged to put their name on all personal items such as warm-ups, shoes, equipment bags, shirts, towels, etc.

 

Liability

The use of the CFLC facilities and all equipment will be at the risk of all participants.  First Baptist Church does not assume liability or responsibility for any participant.  First Baptist Church does not make any expressed or implied warranty of the premises, equipment, machinery, fixtures or furniture.
