Worship Choir
Membership in the Worship Choir is open to college age students and adults. The
Worship Choir leads in worship each Sunday morning and at special times
throughout the year. In addition, the choir presents several thematic and
seasonal musicals each year. The Worship Choir rehearses Wednesday evenings at
6:45 PM
Amazing Grays Choir
The Amazing Grays Choir is our choir for older adults. This group ministers in
music throughout the year, culminating in an annual Choir Trip. The Amazing
Grays meet each Thursday morning at 10:00 a.m
Student Choir
Designed for students in grades 7-12, the Student Choir offers weekly and
seasonal music ministry opportunities. In addition to their ministry as our
worship choir on Sunday evenings, the Student Choir also presents seasonal
musicals and participates in an annual Student Choir Tour/Mission Project. The
Student Choir meets each Sunday evening at 5:00 p.m.
Children’s Choirs
Our Children’s Choirs (WAM) meets in the Children’s
building each Sunday at 5:00 PM. Preschool - sixth grade. Our goal is to not only educate our
children musically but, more importantly, to develop and mature our children as
worshippers.
Instrumental Ministry
Church Orchestra
Membership in our Church Orchestra is open to those individuals with two or more
years experience playing a band or orchestral instrument. The Church Orchestra
provides instrumental accompaniment in our 10:30 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. Worship. In
addition, they lead in worship with special instrumental selections, and
accompany special choral presentations throughout the year.
Handbells
Handbells offer another opportunity for instrumental ministry. At present, FBC
offers handbell groups for adults and senior adults. Participation in these
groups is by interview with each group director.
Specialty Groups
For those interested in additional commitment of
time and talent, opportunities are offered throughout the year for vocal and
instrumental ensembles and soloists. Participation is based on involvement in
the Worship ministry and is by interview and / or audition with the Minister of
Worship or the appropriate group director. |
